Gateway Field Hockey is proud to celebrate our 42nd summer of field hockey camps in St. Louis! For more than four decades, thousands of athletes have come through Gateway camps, and we can’t wait to welcome another amazing group this summer.
Founded by NFHCA Hall of Fame inductee Kelly Yates, Gateway camps are thoughtfully designed to provide age- and ability-appropriate skill development, competitive game play, sportsmanship, teamwork, and—most importantly—fun. Campers will enjoy classic Gateway favorites like stick tug-of-war, the stick game, hockey bowling, and many more unique activities that make our camps unforgettable.
Gateway camps are open to beginner, intermediate, and advanced players entering kindergarten through 12th grade. Athletes are grouped by age, ability, and school or friend requests to ensure a positive and engaging experience. Each age division functions as its own “camp within a camp,” allowing us to tailor instruction and activities to every group.

Gateway Camp Session 1
Camp Session 1: June 8-11 - 9am-11:30am
- Fee: $195 before March 1, $205 between March 1-May 1 | $215 after May 1

- Open to: Athletes rising in 1st through rising into 12th grade

Gateway Mini Camp
Mini Camps are the perfect opportunity to grow your field hockey skills, develop your team game, and have fun in a one day two hour camp setting! Kick off the 4th of July weekend early with the Firecracker Mini Camp!
Dates: Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2
Time: 8:30-10:30am
Cost: $100 before June 1, $115 after June 1
Location: Villa Duchesne
Open to: JK4 through 5th Grade

Summer Advanced High Performance Clinics
Summer Small Group Elite Clinics
Gateway Summer Small Group Advanced Clinics are designed exclusively for Elite Club members seeking a high-performance, fast-paced training environment. These advanced clinics focus intensely on skill development and technical refinement, pushing athletes to expand their capabilities with advanced drills while reinforcing foundational skills in innovative ways.
Each session is led by our top-tier club coaches and kept intentionally small—limited to just 6-8 athletes per group—to ensure personalized attention and maximum development. These clinics offer a focused, challenging atmosphere that helps athletes maintain a competitive edge during the off-season.
Whether you're looking to master new techniques or prepare for fall evaluations, these clinics are an ideal way to stay sharp and elevate your game this summer.

Summer Elite Academy - Skills and Drills
Summer Skills and Drills Training
Summer Skills and Drills Academy is a weekly evening training program designed for athletes who want to take their game to the next level. Geared toward intermediate and experienced players, the academy focuses on both individual skill development and team-based game strategies. Sessions are led by our Elite Club coaches, offering expert guidance in a supportive and engaging environment.
In addition to skill-building, the Summer Academy provides a helpful pre-evaluation experience for athletes planning to try out for Elite Club in the fall. It’s a great opportunity for motivated players to refine their skills and enjoy meaningful training throughout the summer.
Skills and Drills is typically once per week in the evenings throughout the summer.

Summer Stride
Summer Stride
Summer High Performance Training is a high-energy training program designed exclusively for Gateway Elite Club athletes, with a sharp focus on speed, agility, fitness, and fast-paced field hockey stick skills and footwork. Each session is crafted to push athletes to their peak performance through intense, dynamic drills that improve quickness, coordination, and overall athleticism while also including their field hockey skills.
Athletes must bring their stick to every session, as technical skill development is seamlessly blended with physical conditioning. Sessions are fast-paced, motivating, and fun—perfect for athletes preparing for fall pre-season!
Summer Stride Information available in February and Stride is included for rising 9th-college players.
